You’ve probably heard of Mini First Aid

You may well have already heard of Mini First Aid. The business started way back in 2014 offering baby and child first aid classes and quickly grew after franchising in 2015. It became even more widely known following its Dragon’s Den win and the subsequent investment from Sara Davies. They now boast almost 70 franchises throughout the UK.

We are really excited to be stocking their award-winning Mini First Aid kit in-store at Mamiina. The kit comes in 2 sizes, the mini first aid kit containing 74 items, and the large family first aid kit containing 115 items.

Where can I attend a first aid course for babies and toddlers in Suffolk?

Mini First Aid has franchises all over the UK. The Suffolk Mini First Aid franchise is run by Naomi Cooper, who as a mum to a toddler herself knows the importance of being prepared for all eventualities! Naomi has 10 years of experience working in residential care during which time she has faced many first aid scenarios and gained valuable hands-on experience.

What to expect on the course

My partner and I actually attended one of Naomi’s courses when our first child was born, so we have first-hand experience on how the course was delivered. We had both been on various first aid courses in the past, primarily aimed at workplace scenarios. Whilst we both agreed that we had learned some valuable lessons and retained most of what we had learned, we also understood that we were both lacking in baby/toddler-specific first aid, and so booked up our lesson with Naomi.

The course was delivered in a friendly informal manner with like-minded parents all wanting to do the best for their little ones. It covered the most important topics that we expected to learn about including what to do if your child is choking, treating burns, and general first aid. We left the 2 hour course feeling happy that we had attended and would certainly recommend any expectant parents to consider doing the same!
